Angie and I have been working hard to put the finishing touches on the Common Room in our home ... but I've realized with our collection, we'll probably never be "finished!" From the prop replicas I've made for Angie — like the Monster Book of Monsters, Quidditch case, wand boxes and more — to the items we've collected from The Noble Collection, Pottery Barn Teen and more, the magic just keeps getting more ... well, magical. Don't mind the Mrs. Norris wannabe. Dignan the Wondercat insisted on being photographed more than Dobby.

We had many great school visits to wrap up 2017, and Southfield School was one of our favorites! I had a blast making Zombie Socks and talking books with these readers, and I'm looking forward to many exciting school visits in 2018!

What's the best way to spend a Friday the 13th? Hanging out with hundreds of readers who help you stop the ZOMBIE ASOCKALYPSE. Thanks to Mrs. Kelly, her awesome helpers and all the students at Fairfield Elementary Magnet!

We had such a great visit with first-graders at Kingston Elementary School in Benton! Thanks to Mrs. Cryer, Mrs. Prichard and all the students for making us feel so welcome! Kingston Cubs, ALWAYS LEAD indeed!
Please join me and thousands of your fellow book lovers at the Louisiana Book Festival on October 28 in Baton Rouge ... not to mention a few thousand of those toe-biting Zombie Socks. Some of my favorite authors will also be at the event — William Joyce, Judy Christie, and Daniel Wallace just to name a few (seriously, I could go on and on ... but I have to stop, otherwise I'll fall down on my Zombie Sockologist duties, and we all know what happens when those little Reekers get out of control)!
In addition to presentations and signings, my assistant and I will also have Zombie Sock craft activities for the kids! The full schedule will be posted soon at www.louisianabookfestival.org ... click here to view my schedule once it's posted!

My assistant and I had a blast with the readers and awesome library staff at Bossier Parish Library's Central Branch! Thanks to Ms. Lisa and her amazing crew and to all those readers who helped stop the ZOMBIE SOCKS!!!
We visited my assistant Angie Cason's hometown of Coushatta on June 19. Readers in Red River Parish know how to make you feel welcome ... and they aren't too bad at stopping a ZOMBIE SOCK infestation in a library!

DeSoto Parish readers know how to have a good time! They were very creative in making their ZOMBIE SOCKS ... and in using them. I don't think I've ever suffered so many Zombie Sock bites in one day! Thanks to the Logansport Branch of the DeSoto Parish Library for having me out during their summer reading program!
We've been helping "Build a Better World" at summer reading events ... and when ZOMBIE SOCKS are involved, that better world means a less stinky world! Thanks to all the readers at the Pelican Branch of the DeSoto Parish Library for helping us stop the ZOMBIE ASOCKALYPSE outbreak at their library!
We made Zombie Socks, we stopped the stink, and we put an end to the ZOMBIE ASOCKALYPSE. Thanks to all the students in preschool through 4th grade for helping!
I had such a great time meeting students at A.C. Steere! And they were pretty awesome at stopping the stink and putting an end to the ZOMBIE ASOCKALYPSE!
I'm booking library visits for summer reading programs now. For more information, email me at jasperpriceart@gmail.com or call Angie at 318.469.3243!
I had such an amazing time at Christ Episcopal School in Covington, Louisiana for their Literary Week! These students helped solve the mystery and DUN ... DUN ... DUN ... stopped the Zombie Asockalypse. All of the students made their own sock puppets to create their own stories. I'm happy to say, the socks were very creative and most of them were not infected zombie socks ... but there were a few!
The students at Kilby Lab are very creative when it comes to making zombie socks! But they're also great at stopping the ZOMBIE ASOCKALYPSE! I had a blast visiting with the students at the school on the campus of University of North Alabama in Florence, where I attended college. And The Daily Times stopped by to cover the event. Fun fact: I worked for The Daily Times as a graphic artist before I moved to a newspaper in Louisiana!
I had a blast visiting with all the students at Crestline Elementary in Hartselle, Alabama, near my hometown of Decatur, on December 8. Every student in preschool through fourth grade did an amazing job helping me stop the ZOMBIE ASOCKALYPSE at their school! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!
Had a great visit with more than 200 students at St. Joseph Catholic School in Shreveport! But I was so into the reading and fighting the zombie socks with the kids, I completely forgot to get a photo with the crowd. I did snap this video of all those readers just before the event started, and here's one group with the zombie socks we made — they were so creative!
